The Daniel Society is a 501(c)(3) organization that confronts poverty because all lives have value, purpose and potential. We design smart, compassionate and sustainable poverty reduction initiatives in the United States and globally. We give people a "lift" by targeted resources that empower them to live a life of dignity that they themselves chart.
The Daniel Society's Center for Global Initiatives is seeking two volunteer project assistants to join a small team working to launch two development projects in Zambia. This is an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on experiences in the areas of global health (HIV/AIDS) and women's economic empowerment. The volunteer will assist the team with coordinating NGO meetings, communicating project goals and activities with local officials, and promoting our progress using various social media platforms. A minimum commitment of three months is required, and candidates may work remotely or in our Brooklyn, New York office.
The ideal candidates have a passion in fighting global poverty, a bachelors degree (in any subject), and experience volunteering or working with a nonprofit or non-governmental organization.
How To Apply
Interested candidates should submit a resume and brief cover note to firstname.lastname@example.org. To learn more about The Daniel Society, visit us at www.danielsociety.org or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/danielsociety.
