Description

Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based, positive youth development program that inspires girls in 3rd through 8th grade to be joyful, healthy and confident. We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.

Girls meet twice a week after school for 10 weeks, and participate in an experience based curriculum that teaches them critical life skills and prepares them for a celebratory 5k at the end of the season. Volunteer coaches help lead groups of up to 20 girls, and utilize the curriculum to engage teams in fun, interactive lessons.

We are looking for volunteer coaches for our Spring 2019 season! No running necessary – just the ability to be a fun and encouraging role model for your team. Head Coaches must be 21 years or older, attend two practices per week, and become CPR certified. Assistant Coaches must be 18 years or older and attend one practice per week. All we need is you enthusiasm - we provide all the materials and training you need to be a successful GOTR coach!

The Spring season starts in February and wraps up with the celebratory 5k on Sunday, May 5th.
