Would you like to positively impact the life of a teenager in foster care? Do you have just a little extra time in your weekly schedule? Community Partnership for Children is the contract provider for foster care and dependency services in Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam Counties. our volunteer program trains, then matches, qualified mentors to teenagers placed in foster or group homes.
We ask that our mentors commit to working with their matched youth for at least 1 hour per week, for at least 3 months. Volunteer mentors attend a face-to-face orientation, participate in drug/background screening, complete four online DCF trainings, and attend a final face-to-face mentor training. There is no cost to the mentor. Mentors must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current car insurance with 100,000/300,000 Bodily Injury Liability Coverage.
