Volunteer grant writer for environmental 501c3

Earth Law Center aims to transform the law to recognize and protect nature's inherent rights to exist, thrive and evolve.

Volunteer needed to assist Executive Director in preparing grant proposals.

Responsibilities: 

Development 

 Work with ED of ELC to identify, cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of potential and current donors

 Manage and administrate eTapestry/ Blackbaud CRM system

 Generate reports and analyze giving patterns.

effect; adjusts and fine-tunes communication in response to both verbal and non-verbal cues. Has the

ability to conceptualize and/or create compelling visual materials.

 Project Management : Identifies the key objectives and scope of a proposed project; garners needed

resources and project support, develops a realistic and thorough plan for achieving key objectives,

keeps team members briefed on progress, implements action plans, resolves barriers and problems;

has ability to balance multiple tasks and projects while delivering quality work on schedule.

 Commitment to Excellence : Takes pride in your work and strive to deliver the best possible results.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

 Experience with eTapestry or other Blackbaud CSM product

 Knowledge of fundraising and grant writing best practices, including compliance and reporting,

identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship cycles, and systems for information and

performance tracking

 Strong relational skills

 Ability to craft messaging and create attractive materials for (potential) donors

 High standards for excellence, including extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail

 Adaptable to change, both organizational and technological
