Summary

City Youth Now provides programs and services that promote stability, personal growth, and long-term success for youth in the San Francisco Foster Care and Juvenile Justice Systems. We are currently searching for volunteers who can support teachers at the Juvenile Justice Center as they help youth grow vegetables and prepare healthy meals.


Details about your role

  • Time commitment: 3 hours a week
  • Schedule: Mondays 9:30am-12:30pm
  • Duration: 3 months minimum commitment
  • Location: Juvenile Justice Center, 375 Woodside Ave, San Francisco, CA 94127


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Interest in garden work and cooking
  • Experience working with adolescents and education (teaching, tutoring, mentoring) a plus
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and willingness to help where needed
