Grant Writer - changing kids, and the food system

Start Date

Nature's Farm Camp is a sleep away summer camp 100 miles from Chicago. We immerse kids in the outdoors and awesome food, while they help run the farm.

After a 3-year pilot, we aim to grow our reach and impact as a non-profit, primarily targeting kids who wouldn't otherwise attend camp. We are intentionally diverse, recruiting low-income, refugee and foster care kids and now plan to primarily serve these kids. We will develop our own production farm (to sell nutrient dense food to schools in the city) and education center (so more city kids can experience the farm, and wilderness).

We have a list of grantors and are looking for help with research and developing proposals.

We seek a Grant Writer who believes in what we do and why we do it, plus:

Excellent written communication skills

Top-shelf research skills

Ability to understand the needs of both Nature's Farm Camp and the organization that is offering the grant money

Great organizational skills

Being able to understand and execute complex instructions

Outstanding computer skills

Love & Peas,

Tim and Team Nature's Farm Camp

p.s. We are currently between Chicago and the farm, and we'd love to meet you, but this position can be performed remotely. Pictures from the 2018 camp can be viewed on our Facebook page.
