Description

Do you have a passion for environmental justice, issues faced by low-income communities, and equity? CEP is assembling a new Advisory Committee to help us keep our programs relevant, cutting edge, and effective while we work within our mission. Each meeting will give the group an opportunity to learn and inform us about new possible projects, programs, and approaches to solving issues within our communities. Meetings will be shaped by the group itself.

CEP serves over 1200+ participants a year through weatherization and lead poisoning prevention workshops and through in-home weatherization services for seniors and people with disabilities. While we conduct follow-up surveys with our participants to assess the effectiveness of our programs, we are seeking community members to participate in an ongoing Advisory Group to help us explore services and gaps in an in-depth fashion. You do not need be an expert on home weatherization or lead poisoning prevention to serve on the Advisory Group!

Each person is an expert in their own experience, and we are looking to tap into your personal wisdom, to learn from your opinions, and to strengthen our programs accordingly. Be prepared to both share with, and learn from, the others in the group.

Duties:

  • Actively participate in meetings that will likely focus on a single topic/discussion point
  • Participate in four meetings throughout the year

Benefits
