Time Commitment

Part time (10-30 hrs/wk)

The Learners Lab Foundation is a national incubator charity based in Lanham Maryland. Our programs secure & develop job assistance, develop & connect workers with workforce training resources, provides technical assistance to young tax exempts, and deliver full life cycle of job placement and employer recruitment.

We also serve as a Fiscal Sponsor to New, Future, & Start-Up 501c's operating in the US.

At this time The Foundation is conducting a search for its first Chief Development Officer (CDO), a volunteer role that will transition to paid full time and lead our Fellowship Academy. The CDO Partners with TLLF's Founder to develop/complete programs for our Executive Management Fellowship Academy, mentors its Fellows, and custom design the Foundation Development operations.

The Executive Management Fellowship Academy

In the spirit of and to meet the growing and changing demand for 22nd-century knowledge and expertise, TLLF has established The Executive Management Fellowship Academy at The Learners Lab Foundation. The Fellowship Academy is a multi-functional open-access venue offering three professional development/adult education programs:

  • an Executive Management Cross-Disciplinary Doctoral Program,
  • a series of Management Fellowship Programs that serve and support our Fiscal Sponsorship Awardees & Technical Assistance Service Center clients,
  • Premier Careers: A Proprietary Portfolio of Well-Skilled Training Products, including Workforce Connections Hiring Venues

The Foundation’s Fellowships cover the following subject matter disciplines:

  • Grant Writers and Development Fundraising Management Fellows (GWD),
  • Logistics & Resource Management Fellows (LRM),
  • Non-Profit/Tax Exempt Management & Administration Fellows (NP/TMA),
  • Social Media, Communications for the 22nd Century Management Fellows (SMComm)

Foundation Fellowships are 2-year engagements that will result in a broad, incredibly high level of expertise. Year 1 is part time and unpaid though stipends may become available as funding allows for the 2nd half of the first year (we are working on that). Year 2 is paid, optional, and includes supervisory responsibilities over interns, apprentices – also a unique program. Graduates from the 2-year fellowship will be offered paid mentorships for incoming fellows, and both one & 2-year fellows receive job placement assistance at the end of their respective programs.

The CDO will be instrumental in [officially] launching this effort, particularly since the Foundation already has a growing portfolio of Fiscal Sponsorship Awardees.
