Lalmba Association is a small, Colorado-based NGO that operates a Health Clinic, HIV Treatment Center, Dispensary, Public Health and Education program, orphan programs and community development programs on the shores of Lake Victoria. We are looking for a volunteer who will serve as a coordinator for a new Teen Health program. This position has a particular focus on developing a youth program to target risky behavior, health and good choices for young people, with an emphasis on chastity and a pro-life message.
Lalmba pays no salary but covers all expenses related to travel to/from Kenya, and working and living in Matoso, Kenya (visas, immunizations, airfare, room and board, medical & life insurance). We will only consider candidates currently located in the U.S., South America, Canada or Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: This person will provide the leadership and management of Lalmba Kenya’s new teen programs. This includes overseeing a new youth program targeting making healthy choices, planning and executing public health projects (such as community education groups) and supervising and training the local staff who work in these programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates are educators with minimum 3-5 years’ work experience. Public health professionals are also encouraged to apply. Must have good organizational and leadership skills and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Must be willing to work in a very rural location and be open to chastity-based programming. Proficiency with Word and Excel is highly desirable. Personnel management skills and/or experience are required. MUST be currently located in the U.S., South America, Canada or Europe.
