North Omaha provides an incredible community in which to work because of its history as the 'birthplace' of Omaha, its rich cultural and racial diversity, and its intense need as it seeks to build upon its own strengths.

Through this position, the Coordinator will:

2) Oversee (with assistance from previous leaders) other programs throughout the year, including our partnership with Miller Park Elementary School, Blessing of the Animals, God's Work-Our Hands Day, the annual Halloween event, and others as they arise or are determined by the Coordinator and supervisor.

3) Create and participate in opportunities for the community to gather to determine the current needs and desires of the community (community organization and development).

4) Keep Trinity-North Omaha informed of the various ways in which church members can serve, particularly through volunteering and contributing to existing and newly-created outreach programs.

5) Encourage and schedule volunteers for programs, including Trinity Reads, Trinity Feeds, Halloween on the Boolevard, and others.

6) Create a public relations and informational structure for sharing outreach and community programs within the church and the community (may include digital, graphic, and social media work)

7) Maintain contact and good working relationships with all community partners.

Trinity-North Omaha is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who longs and works to share the Gospel of Christ in both word and deed in our community and beyond.
