Description

Held annually since 2002, MoPOP’s Pop Conference provides a rare opportunity for music fans and scholars to join in a collective discussion on an array of issues in pop music through panels, presentations, and roundtable discussions. This year’s theme is What Difference Does it Make? Music and Gender. This is a chance to hear from renowned music critics, writers, and academics.


We need volunteers to help with registration, wayfinding, and as conference room attendants. Room attendants also get to listen to panels! Volunteers will also receive complimentary registration for the entire conference. Available shifts include:


  • Thursday (4/26), 9:45am-1pm: Registration
  • Thursday (4/26), 12:45pm-4:00pm: Registration
  • Thursday (4/26), 3:30pm-7:00pm: Registration
  • Thursday (4/26), 1:30pm-6:00pm: Room Attendant
  • Friday (4/27), 8:00am-12:00pm: Registration
  • Friday (4/27), 11:30am-3:30pm: Registration
  • Friday (4/27), 3:00pm-7:00pm: Registration
  • Friday (4/27), 8:30am-1:00pm: Room Attendant Volunteer
  • Friday (4/27), 1:30pm-7:30pm: Room Attendant Volunteer
  • Saturday (4/28), 8:00am-12:00pm: Registration
  • Saturday (4/28), 11:30am-3:30pm: Registration
  • Saturday (4/28), 3:00pm-7:00pm: Registration
  • Saturday (4/28), 8:30am-1:00pm: Room Attendant Volunteer
  • Saturday (4/28), 1:30pm-7:30pm: Room Attendant Volunteer
  • Sunday (4/29), 8:00am-12:00pm: Registration

Please be aware that all volunteers must also attend a PopConference volunteer training session on Saturday, April 21st from 2 - 3:30 pm, as well as successfully complete a background check.
