Description

Would you like to use your tax experience to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon's low-income Latino families?

By volunteering just four to five hours a week during tax season as a trained Quality Reviewer you can provide a vital service and in turn an important step towards economic security to those most in need. You will also gain a meaningful new experience and become a part of a great team of like-minded people!

El Programa Hispano Católico is a non-profit organization providing quality, culturally-specific social services to low-income Latinos in the Portland metropolitan area. Through considerable volunteer support and dedication and in partnership with the IRS El Programa Hispano Católico provides certified basic tax preparation to the low-income Latino community free of charge, last season helping over 1,000 taxpayers in need secure over $2 million in refunds. This season we aim to grow our volunteer team in order to meet the increasing demand for this invaluable service and we need your help!
