Description

Escape To... is looking for interns to learn about and contribute toward the Fair Trade and Sustainable Fashion Movement in Bangalore, India for a minimum stay of 1 month to a maximum of 3 months. This is a great opportunity for people who have never been to India before to immerse themselves in the local culture, learn about fair trade, sustainable fashion and business development and how Indian society deals with these challenges, as well as do something meaningful abroad. You don't need to know about fair trade in order to intern abroad.

Main Duties

-assist in bridging socially aware buyers to artisans to ensure ethical trade through fair trade practices

-learn about the artisan and crafts sector across India

-help in sourcing ethically produced, sustainable and fair trade products

-pitch in during preparation for global trade shows

-assist during trunk shows and pop ups

-attend meetings with producers and suppliers

-help out on social media marketing content


Requirements:

1. Must be able to commit to 1 month

2. Must be 18 years and older

3. Must be dedicated and reliable to go to work on a daily basis (9:30 am to 4:30 pm)


Escape To... charges a $595(+tax) placement fee to help you with pre-departure support, guidance on visas, health and safety and training as well as airport pickup, on arrival orientation, welcome lunch, and supervision for the duration of your trip.
