Are you a energetic and fun person who enjoys meeting and working with people from all over the world? Are you well-organized and proactive? Do you like planning and participating in activities? Then you might be just the person we are looking for!
The Worldview Project is currently seeking an individual to coordinate the volunteer program at The Worldview Project. The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with the senior staff to recruit, manage and improve our organization. As we work with volunteers from a wide range of countries, cultural sensitivity and awareness is a must. The VC will process volunteer and intern applications, orient new volunteers to our policies and procedures, work to create a welcoming and safe work environment, organize volunteers for events and projects, create reports, and maintain and improve volunteer procedures. A positive and engaging attitude is essential. Dependability and conscientiousness are extremely important. The volunteer coordinator must endeavor to be an exemplary volunteer in order to create a positive model for other volunteers and interns, leading by example.
The minimum weekly commitment is 10 hours, but we are looking for someone who can do more. Normally our office is open during regular business hours, but the volunteer coordinator must be able to work a few weekend days a year when we have events (usually 3-4 events a year). If you are a dynamic, outgoing, fun and organized individual, please contact us!
As working directly with individual volunteers is highly desirable, the ideal Volunteer Coordinator would have a flexible schedule and live relatively close to our office.
Widen your cultural horizons, hone your skills, enhance your resume, work with amazing people from all over the world, learn more about the cultural treasures of San Diego, and make a world-changing difference by volunteering with us!
For more information about who we are and what we do, please visit our website: www.worldviewproject.org and our online magazine : www.parobs.org for more information.
When you write us (please don't telephone), it is helpful if you tell us a little bit about your skills, experience, interests and anything else you might want to share so that we may respond to your inquiry more fully. If you don't hear back from us in one week's time, feel free to call our office at (858) 964-0709, but please contact us first by email.
