Hawah V. Kamara Children’s Foundation was established as a community-based organization whose purpose is to improve the lives of underprivileged communities in West Africa, Liberia. The organization was registered in Massachusetts on October 24th, 2016, and has a 501 (c) (3) status through a fiscal sponsorship with the Global Sustainable Aid Project.
To future our work, we are looking for one qualified individual to be in charge of researching and writing small grants for our organization. The position requires a flexible time commitment, and the work can be done virtually. Please note that this position requires at least a 3-6 months commitment.
Maintains excel list of all grant opportunities (see google doc for a list of some)
Researches for new grant opportunities
Write small grant proposals and submit them timely
Coordinate with team to share work
Weekly/ monthly check-in required
Skills/ Knowledge Requirement:
Has grant writing skills or have taken a class in grant writing
Effective organizing skills
Proficiency in written communication
Proficient at using search engines such as Google etc.
Has taken a course in grant writing or has prior experience writing a grant proposal.
