Gender & International Development ~ Spring and Summer Volunteer Opportunities

The Partnership for Gender Equity (PGE) is up to big things; accelerating change for women, families and youth in coffee communities around the world. Are you keen to apply your exceptional talents in the area of international development?

We are looking for Spring and Summer volunteers to help us grow our impact in a variety of areas. Tell us what skills you have and want to build, and we will connect them to our needs. Build your experience and your resume!

Overview:

Over the past five years, PGE’s work has directly touched the lives of nearly 500 male and female farmers in eight countries through our innovative capacity building programs. We have developed a variety of tools and resources to help inform and activate industry influencers to take action to address gender equity and generational engagement in the coffee supply chain.  New programs are in development for 2020 and our next decade of opportunity.

Who we are:

PGE works to ensure a prosperous future with fair and equitable opportunities for every member of the coffee farming family - women, men and children.  Since our founding in 2014, PGE has conducted research, developed tools, and activated coffee companies to build transformative impact in the sector to address gender equity collaboratively for a global, transformative impact.  In 2015, PGE published its first research to identify the impact of gender inequities on the coffee value chain and determine how the sector could respond collectively. The Way Forward: Accelerating Gender Equity in the Coffee Value Chain has become a key resource for industry actors and is the foundation for PGE’s work and collaborative engagement to tackle the issue of gender in a variety of contexts.

Who you are:

Passionate, hard-working, organized, clear-thinker, committed to making a difference. Spanish and/or French language skills are a plus.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a growing organization with a global vision - to get involved on the ground level and be a part of growing our success.
