Volunteer Coaches Needed: Empower Girls in your Community

Seeking volunteers who want to change the life of girls grades 3-8

Girls on the Run is an 8 week program in the schools in Riverside County, CA. We use the power of running to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5K event.

In Fall 2020, Girls on the Run will be completely virtual!

Embark on a monumental journey...

An independent study led by Dr. Maureen Weiss, University of Minnesota, evaluated the impact of Girls on the Run on positive youth development. Findings show that Girls on the Run has a significant impact on the lives of girls - teaching critical life skills, increasing physical activity, building connections between peers, and more. In addition, Girls on the Run makes a stronger impact than organized sports and physical education programs in teaching life skills such as managing emotions, resolving conflict, helping others, and making intentional decisions.
