The Christ the King Service Corps is a faith-based community of volunteers living and working in Detroit, Michigan. Volunteers commit to one or more years of service, and are provided housing, food allowance, medical insurance and use of a community car. We are currently seeking individuals to serve as Assistant Managers at the new Resource Center at St. Suzanne-Our Lady Gate of Heaven Catholic Parish in the areas of Family and Youth Engagement and Social Enterprise. Previously known as Don Bosco Hall, the Resource Center at St. Suzanne's - Our Lady Gate of Heaven Catholic Parish provides a non-profit hub for those in need to access services ranging from financial literacy to job training.
The Assistant Center Manager will engage youth, families, and residents to discern needs and available services, manage new shared work space members, and assist in the development and coordination of new programs. This position is great for someone who is Interested in community service with a high collective impact, flexible, creative, and passionate about serving the poor.
The Assistant Program Manager will develop and implement social enterprise project plans, oversee business build-out, recruit resident-produced goods and service and prospective employees for production, and identify unique opportunities to synergize production with neighborhood needs. This position is great for someone who is interested in urban economic development, flexible, decisive, and a people person.
A bachelors degree or previous experience required.
