To assist in managing the satisfaction of external national partnerships who provide a volunteer workforce that contributes to the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross.

Responsibilities:

Partnerships volunteers will have the opportunity to assist in both steady state (day to day) and operational state (while a national disaster relief operation is active). Although volunteers will have to ability to deploy for other roles, the operational state duties are remote daily activities that this office performs during a DRO.Steady State:

1. Maintain the VS partnerships shared mailbox for external partners.

2. Respond to external requests received from the public inquiry office.

3. Assist internal lines of business who serve as relationship managers for various national partners.

4. Assist in creating materials/guidance for the field pertaining to national and local partner relationships.

5. Draft internal and external communications defining specific external partners.

6. Using "Volunteer Connection", run reports on national partnership data for various lines of service.

7. Assist in being the relationship manager for VS national partners.

8. Attend meetings with new and current external corporate and community partners.

9. Attend regular meetings with VS partnerships team to discuss projects and volunteer development.

10. Work with VS national recruiters for targeted needs as the national relationship allows.Operational State:

1. Respond to external communications from partners who offer support to a DRO.

2. Assist regions who are engaging national partners with reports and ongoing communication during a DRO.

3. Provide national statistics for the DOCC.

4. Assist with external partner intake/deployment for corporate and international society members.5. Assist RMS (resource mobilization)individual members of external partners (usually on weekends) who are registering for immediate deployment.

Time of commitment: Steady State: Maximum of 8 hours a week during business hours. Operational State: Maximum 15 hours a week depending on the need during a disaster relief operation. Weekend on call scheduling included.

Qualifications:

Candidates will exhibit competencies in external relations and public communication. Must be adaptable to various platforms and data analysis. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Can provide a proven track record of responsiveness in partner relations activities. Strong organizational and time-management skills are a must-have. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be an effective communicator. Experience working in multi-industry and multicultural backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications: Self-starters with an enterprising mindset and a drive to make a difference while managing a diverse range of organization-specific tasks Past/current experience working with large companies. Strategic partnerships employment Member of the "Partnerships Brokers Association" is a plus.
