Do you look to cook? Enjoy sharing knowledge about nutrition and health? Want to help support a unique cooking and nutrition program? Join our team of volunteers supporting the NEED: Nutrition Education and Equity for individuals experiencing intellectual and developmental Disabilities nutrition and cooking program.
Classes meet on Saturdays and teach participants about kitchen skills and safety, nutrition and cooking following a unique curriculum and supported by The Arc of Multnomah-Clackamas. Each class ends in a shared group meal and conversation!
Volunteer positions include: supporting participants during instruction, providing hands-on cooking demonstration, film and photography for a cookbook project, or input in curriculum creation and editing. No prior cooking experience required and training is provided, as well as support from an awesome group of Arc MC volunteers.
