The Fundraising and Special Events Intern will assist the Development Manager and Director of Development in day-to-day operations in New Rep’s fundraising department. The primary responsibility will be to research grants, foundations, corporations, and individuals. Other duties include assisting with the planning and execution of the following special events: Spring Gala, Opening Nights, Insider Experiences, and other donor cultivation events. Intern may be asked to work evening events as necessary. PLEASE NOTE: New Rep is accessible via MBTA Bus 70/70a and has free parking.
Time Commitment: The internship is flexible in terms of number of hours and schedule, with the possibility to work remotely as needed.
Take-Away: The intern will benefit by participating in and observing fundraising and special event operations in a professional theatre setting. The intern may also earn a written recommendation.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid, but interns may earn course credit and enjoy complimentary tickets to New Repertory Theatre productions (and others as available).
The intern should be versed in any of the following: Microsoft Office, Excel, research/databases, comfortable speaking with donors and Board Members, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
