The Wat Opot Community Center (WOCC) is looking for a Preschool Teacher.

Learning can be fun as well as rewarding and WOCC houses a craft room, jewelry room, preschool/playroom, playground, swimming pool, and a kilometer of walkable sidewalk along our fenced in property. All of these are at your disposal for use in creative teaching.

Scheduled morning teaching hours are from 7:30AM - 11:00AM and then again from 2:00PM - 5:00PM -in the afternoons, the time will be used for more play than school.

We want someone who can find educational material in a tree, in the sand or on a walkabout, not only in a book. Someone who can stimulate the joy of early childhood learning through constructive play and also by researching educational activities.

The ideal candidate will have a willing desire to be a part of our daily community. This could include participating in our evening meditation and weekly yoga, handing out (and making!) snacks, swimming, playing sport, bandaging a scraped knee, helping older kids with artwork, assisting in jewelry making, reading stories or just the simple joys of hanging out with the kids.

Your own interests and personality will play a huge part in shaping your involvement outside of teaching - but we believe the more you get involved the richer your experience will be.
