At Jeremiah Program, young women make a commitment to self-improvement. At our Campus communities Brooklyn, NY, Jeremiah Program staff and volunteers work to empower single moms to complete their education, launch successful careers, and create a stable foundation of prosperity on which their children can grow and thrive. Jeremiah Program is a fast paced, supportive, inspiring environment for women and their children.
Life Skills facilitators guide women through a planned curriculum, focusing on Parenting, Health & Wellness, Economic Independence, and Career. The Life Skills curriculum developed by Jeremiah Program assists the women in learning skills and adopting behaviors that foster control and success in varied life experiences and responsibilities. Prior to each weekly session, facilitators will be expected to prepare by reviewing session activities and materials.
All volunteers are required to complete a volunteer orientation, facilitator training and pass a NY DHS background check.
