Description

VPWA Microfinance programme is a small grassroots initiative in the GA West Municipal

area of Ghana. This programme aims to reduce both urban and rural poverty.

We are looking for a long term volunteer to manage and grow the microfinance

programme. The volunteer will work alongside local staff to implement this

programme.


Key responsibilities


- Manage the microfinance project and ensure the appropriate processes are

implemented and followed

- Help to develop new microfinance products (such as micro leasing) and

increase the number of beneficiaries

- Provide business training and advice to beneficiaries through translation by

the programme’s Ghanaian staff

- Identify potential issues within the organization and implement changes

- Discuss programme ideas and implementation with VPWA Director

- Put together and distribute key tasks for short term volunteers to fulfill


Skills and qualifications


- At least [25] or older

- Good spoken and written English

- At least [3] months of work experience

- Background in project management, accounting, finance or related business

fields

- Strong Leadership skills

- Proactive and autonomous

Volunteer will have to take care of their travel cost to Ghana. We will provide free accommodation for volunteer willing to commit up to 1 year or more.
