Description

Dreamfar High School Marathon (DHSM) is a non-profit organization that challenges at-risk teens to reach their full potential--socially, emotionally, physically, and academically--through a mentor-supported marathon training program. DHSM is currently recruiting volunteer mentors to meet with their students Saturday mornings November-May to run alongside youth and help them train for and run the Providence Marathon. While recruitment is open for all pace groups, DHSM is specifically looking for volunteers who are able to run a 12 min/mile or slower pace. No running experience is required to volunteer. All mentors receive training from a certified running coach, nutritionist, and physical therapist.
