Volunteer for an organization that is really making a difference! Would you like to be a part of our health and wellness team at TASSC International? (http://www.tassc.org/). We are a small non-profit organization that supports people seeking asylum in the US, who have survived torture in their country of origin. Our clients have surmounted incredible obstacles and triumphed over immense adversities. They are now in the process of rebuilding their lives and reclaiming their hopes and dreams for the future. TASSC, the Torture Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition, provides a variety of services to support this process.
Our core services include case management, psychological, legal, social advocacy, and holistic health services. Massage therapy is a key component of the holistic health services we offer and an invaluable gift to support the healing process of our clients.
We are currently looking for volunteer Licensed Massage Therapists to offer massage therapy for our clients, once a month on a Friday. We would prefer to have someone who has experience offering trauma-informed massage, and who can make a commitment to do at least 3 consecutive massages, one Friday a month. If you are interested in this opportunity, we would love to hear from you!
How To Apply
If you are a massage therapist, with a DC license, and are interested in this opportunity, please send an e-mail, including your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks so much!
