Description

Willamette West Habitat for Humanity is in need of an organized, detail-oriented volunteer who will work at the Allen Estates construction site to help keep our tools in tip-top shape. By committing a steady donation of time and effort to Habitat's mission to eliminate unaffordable housing, these volunteers are able to learn new skills, make new friends, and get a behind-the-scenes view of our construction program. While no construction experience is required, a Tool Maintenance Volunteer must have passion and enthusiasm for Willamette West Habitat's mission, and preferably have familiarity with power tools. All volunteers go through a training process until they feel comfortable enough to work on their own.

We are asking for the Tool Maintenance Volunteer to clean tools of dust, debris and grime, check for damage and wear, discard broken tools/parts, generate a list of tools needed/parts, organize tool storage area, and lubricate tools as necessary. We ask for this volunteer to come out at least 2 hours per week when our site is open (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 8:00am-3:00pm) for a minimum 6-month commitment.
