Description

About:

Bay Cove is a non-profit organization that provides services to adults with mental health issues and developmental disabilities and we are currently looking for volunteers for our Human Rights Committee. The committee helps us monitor and review our Human Rights program through monthly meetings and visits to our programs.  We have a particular need for Nurses, Masters level behavioral specialists and Attorneys, law students or paralegals, but anyone with an interest in helping out is encouraged to contact us.  We provide an orientation and ongoing training and support.

Time Commitment:

Monthly meeting first Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm except July and September.

Monthly site visit to one of our programs which are about 2 hours in length.

Responsibilities:

Review Human Rights regulations, practices, policies, complaint processes and incidents of restraint use.
