A few hours per month
Long-Term (6 months-1 year)
Looking for adults (18+) with a passion for youth education to join a team of volunteers to plan and implement programming for 6th to 12th grade youth.
Volunteer roles on the Program Team vary depending on experience and interest. General responsibilities include mentoring small groups of youth, and planning and implementing a variety of educational sessions. These sessions span a variety of topics, and include interfaith content, leadership skill building, deepening understanding of various social issues in our communities, and supporting youth as they engage in projects related to advocacy and activism locally and nationally.
Kids4Peace is an interfaith youth organization that empowers youth to become advocates and leaders for social change in their communities. We also provide spaces for interfaith learning (primarily within the Jewish, Christian, and Muslim faith traditions). Our work is both local and global in focus, as our youth explore areas of division that impact our local community and other areas of the nation and world. We work with middle and high school aged youth who participate in intensive summer and school year programs.
All levels of experience and expertise welcome. We are looking for individuals with a wide range of skills to work with some incredible youth peace leaders!
