MIM(Prisons) provides a voice for the anti-imperialist movement behind bars. We work with prisoners to help educate them and organize against the criminal injustice system. Our publication, Under Lock & Key, is free to all prisoners in the United $tates and comes out bimonthly. It is mostly written by prisoners, about what is going on behind bars. We need help translating articles into Spanish and editing Spanish translations so that the many Spanish speaking prisoners can also read Under Lock & Key.
This job can be done anywhere - we will email you the articles.
You can put in as much time as you like at this volunteer job. Ideally we will find someone who wants to make it a regular committment, so we can rest assured that assignments will get returned to us.
For examples of articles you might be asked to translate, check out http://www.prisoncensorship.info/news
Under Lock & Key has very strong politics and is anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist. We fight against oppression of all groups by other groups!
