*We are now recruiting for our Winter 2019 training class beginning in late January 2019*

Doorways for Women and Families creates pathways for women, men, and children out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault toward safe, stable and empowered lives by offering emergency shelter, housing, life changing support services and community advocacy.

We are seeking individuals to act as Volunteer Shelter Coordinators 8 hours per month (usually two 4-hour shifts) in our Domestic Violence Safehouse. Volunteer Shelter Coordinators respond to hotline calls, ensure the smooth operation of the shelter and assist in meeting the needs of domestic violence survivors and their children residing at the shelter. At this time preference is given to volunteers with weekday (Monday-Friday) daytime availability.

Volunteers must complete 40 hours of training in person and submit background checks. Training class starts in late January 2019. One year commitment required.
