I. ORGANIZATIONAL PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND
Boys to Men Mentoring Network strives to provide high-quality group mentoring for teenage boys (13-18) through Rites of Passage initiation events, regular activities featuring fun with positive male role models, wilderness immersion, and school-based mentoring. The impact we see in the population we serve is an improvement in grades at school, a decrease in absenteeism and disciplinary referrals, as well as anecdotal evidence from families of increased emotional literacy and self-awareness. We serve over 150 unique boys in a year and utilize over 100 volunteer mentors per year to do so.
