In Just 15 Minutes, You Can Help Make A Difference In A Youth's Life
- Volunteer Opportunity posted by Modus
A few hours per month
In Tulsa, 6,000 teens cannot access the important medical and support services they need because they do not have transportation.
That's 6,000 teens who miss out on doctor appointments, counseling appointments, leadership meetings, youth empowerment seminars, group therapy, and other essential appointments or meetings our youth should not be missing.
How can you help?
Become a volunteer driver with Modus!
What will you do?
As a volunteer driver, you’ll use your own vehicle to take clients of our partner agencies to and/or from their appointment safely and on-time.
Who will you help?
The youth we serve are ages 13-24, live in various zip codes we serve in Tulsa county, are clients of our partner agencies, and can be going to appointments for things like monthly youth leadership meetings, counseling, non-urgent medical appointments, WIC appointments, workforce training, tutoring, etc.
What’s in it for you?
+ A flexible schedule, where you, the volunteer, get to choose the ride(s) based on when you are free and able to do so. Most of our current volunteers choose rides that are on their way home or to wherever they're headed to next, so that's why the time to give a ride is so short!
+ You get reimbursed for mileage!
+ Opportunities to learn valuable skills related to not only this opportunity but potentially to other volunteer work you may do.
+ This is a small commitment, with a BIG impact!
+ A chance to make a difference in someone's life with a small and simple act of kindness.
We're always looking for volunteer drivers because the more drivers we have means more youth we can serve!
Help us remove the barrier of transportation for all young people in Tulsa!
Only you can drive change in Tulsa!
