Enjoy working with kids? Indulge your inner child and become a Children's Activity Provider!
STAND! for Families Free of Violence is currently seeking individuals to support our trauma-informed children's programs at our Emergency Shelter. The morning program runs M-F from 9-noon. The after school Homework Club runs M-F from 3-5. Volunteers can support either/both. Children are typically 0 - 5 years old, but can sometimes range up to teens.
STAND! is dedicated to working with individuals, families and the community in ending domestic violence and child abuse in Contra Costa. As a Children's Activity Volunteer, you will lead activities, play games, read, tell stories and sing songs with the children while also providing a safe and orderly environment for them to interact in.
We are looking for volunteers that can participate at least one shift/week. All volunteers are required to complete our mandatory training and complete a background check. Visit our website to find out more (http://www.standffov.org/volunteer/).
We look forward to hearing from you!
