  • Volunteer Opportunity posted by CADIP

Short-Term (few weeks/months)

This volunteer project is organised in collaboration with the Delegation of Youth and Sport in Jebha. Jebha is a small Moroccan port city, located on the border of the Eastern and Western Rif. It is the urban center of the rural town of M’Tioua in the province of Chefchaouen, region of Tangier-Tetouan. It was under the Spanish protectorate and a large part of its population speaks Spanish. The town's old name was El Puerto Capaz.

The objective of the project is the renovation and maintenance of the Youth Center in the town. The volunteers will paint the walls of the center and draw murals to brighten up the place, will clean up the area and pick up trash, will build green spaces. They can also join some environmental protection activities, cook in teams and play with the children.

In this project, international volunteers will have the opportunity to meet local volunteers, community residents and social workers in the center, and learn about Moroccan culture and way of life.

Leisure time: Visit of the city and the surroundings, afternoon at the beach, trekking in the mountains, intercultural party, visit of the city of Chefchaouen.
