Description

Every kid wants to go to summer camp, but not all can afford it. Our Summer School Program allows the kids in the communities that we serve to have the chance to experience their best summer ever for free with English classes, art, games, and an awesome end of summer field trip and you can be a part of it!

Take a look at this short video to get a sense of what our Summer School program is all about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMV0xlROm00

There is no “I” in “team”. Teamwork is always great, therefore, we are searching for international volunteers to team up with our enthusiastic local volunteers for our 2019 Summer School Program. The classes provided allow our energetic kids to not only participate for free but to, also, learn a new language, express themselves through art, and play games in cooperation with one another in a fun, summer camp atmosphere. Moreover, all of our volunteers have plenty of opportunities to explore Peru in countless events/activities that allows you to experience the culture, life, and natural wonders of this magical country from a local perspective.

Benefits

  • Teamwork
  • Strong Curricula
  • Volunteer with a solid, local organization
  • Cultural awareness
  • Sustainable benefits for kids
  • Learn Spanish
  • Weekly meetings with the team
  • Room and board provided

Having international and local volunteers has been the greatest asset for the kids, for the organization, and for the sustainability of our work. Through our international volunteers our kids gain cultural awareness and, on the other hand, our local volunteers serve as a source of inspiration, showing that grasp of a second language is possible.

In Summer School, we teach Monday through Thursday. On Fridays we have a team meeting to prepare materials for the following week. We use the weekends to explore and have fun in our Social Interaction Program. Check out this video about our Social Interaction Program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTC8h1UxSag
