Description

The volunteers will work in a children's center which gives social protection and ensures the welfare of disadvantaged, vulnerable and marginalized children in Rabat. The center provides safe upbringing and education to abandoned and innocent children and babies, and prepares them for their integration into society.

International volunteers are invited to help the center by supporting the staff with the daily care of children. The work is varied and you must be flexible in tackling your tasks. It could involve education, recreation and supporting the children to return and participate in mainstream life. The volunteer duties may include organizing fun activities and entertainment, cultural and social events, playing with the children, helping them with the homework, teaching them English and other foreign languages, singing. If you have ideas about teaching different kinds of activities such as games, songs, arts and crafts or sports and athletics to children, then this type of project is for you! You will need to take a creative and flexible approach and be prepared to undertake variety of tasks.

Special requirements: Volunteers should be motivated to work with children; have enough skills and competences to achieve this mission; be passionate, open-minded, creative, sociable and ready for intercultural exchange with the local people.

Language: English or French

Duration of the project: The volunteer placements are from 2 to 12 months.
