Trainer for Living Well with Diabetes - Healthy Living 4 ME, Sagadahoc County

Spectrum Generations Healthy Living 4 Me is in need of volunteer trainer for our Living Well with Diabetes class. Living Well with Diabetes is the Diabetes Self-Management Program, originally developed by Stanford University. This Workshop helps people with diabetes to better manage their symptoms and their daily lives. Free training is provided. Time frames are flexible after initial training. Location may vary depending on space available and location of volunteer. 

Duties May Include:

  • Prepare for each class by reviewing manual and materials
  • Organize the classroom set up
  • Present the program according to the directions, training and materials provided
  • Demonstrate and coach exercises as outlined
  • Monitor and connect with each participant

Classes are typically about 3 hours, once a week for 6 weeks at a time. Minimum of 1 session of classes a year.
