The Music Coordinator will have an integral role in collecting, curating and promoting the sounds of Brooklyn by working with local artists and hosts to promote local music on the air and in the community. This volunteer role will work directly with RFB's volunteer-powered workforce to find new music, catalog music submissions, work with independent artists and labels, and provide support to music shows.

The Music Coordinator will primarily work with the Music Director to:

  • Document and traffic music submissions into RFB and RFB 2
  • Develop strategies for genre-specific music play for RFB 2
  • Work with artists and labels to find and integrate new music into rotation
  • Work with hosts to write music blogs promoting local music and local music events
  • Archive and promote our signature daily local music show, Brooklyn Bandstand
