Position Overview:

Development of comprehensive program focused on solidifying our partnerships with the Gardner CAC and Catholic Charities, the long-term sustainability of SOS/Food for Thought and exploring mentoring at CAC and Catholic Charities for college admission.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop the capacity of MWCC to host programs focused on higher education, hunger relief efforts and others issues faced by students related to economic inequality. Maintain and grow the college food pantry. Through partnerships with the Gardner CAC and Catholic Charities, increase the capacity of the CAC and Catholic Charities to host service learning and volunteer students. Explore possibility of college admission mentoring for clients at CAC and Catholic Charities.


Self-motivated with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to recruit and retain volunteers. Highly organized. Ability to work with vulnerable populations in a sensitive and respectful manner. Knowledgeable about and respectful of diversity, specifically socioeconomic diversity.


- Segal AmeriCorps Education Award ($5,920) or post-service stipend ($1,800) upon successful completion of the program

  5. If selected to move forward, you’ll complete a phone interview with two members of the CCSNE recruitment team. This interview is an opportunity for you to get to know our program better and for our team to determine whether you’re a good fit for the 2018-2019 CCSNE corps.
  6. Finally, if accepted to the CCSNE VISTA program, you will be placed at a host site based on your professional skills, interests and regional preference.
