OUR MISSION

At Cogeo our mission is to promote a world where justice and the opportunity to succeed are available to all. We exist to help non-profit organizations deliver on their missions and help them improve the quality of their organization’s performance and fundraising. Simply put, we are here to help our clients make the world a better place.

Cogeo is seeking a Program Support Specialist.

The Program Support Specialist works closely with one of our Program Support Managers, partnering with our nonprofit clients to support their fundraising and development efforts. This can include supporting specific projects and providing on-demand assistance.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and flexing different skills throughout the day. You will be an integral member of a cohesive team that is pivotal to our clients effecting change.

Responsibilities: The Program Support role will require the ability to adapt to changing expectations based on the needs of our clients. While there will be a foundation of core responsibilities and deliverables, our client engagements are fluid - you will be able to rely on clear communication from the Program Support Manager and Consultants to ensure you know what is expected.

Within our culture of intellectual curiosity and self-directed work planning, your responsibilities will consistently involve:

1. Research. Conducting research and carrying out various research projects to meet clients' needs at the direction of the Program Support Manager.

2. Design. Designing various outward-facing documents, using Google Slides and some web-based programs. Training will be provided, design experience appreciated.

3. Writing. Writing emails and drafting various internal and external reports. Some grant writing may be required, training will be provided.

4. Communication. Internally communicating with Program Support Manager and Consultants. Communicating daily with team members via email, Slack, and other written means regarding assigned projects and tasks. Communicating verbally with team members via telephone or video conferencing as needed on a regular or semi-regular basis.

5. Data Management. Managing donor, foundation, and corporate data in clients’ respective Salesforce accounts. Training in Salesforce will be provided, as needed.

6. Time Management. Effectively managing time to juggle multiple projects at the same time.

Qualifications:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use or learn computer programs such as Google Drive and associated applications.
  • Database management skills. Experience with Salesforce preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Strong customer service orientation is necessary.
  • Project management skills: attention to detail, ability to stay organized and work effectively under pressure/deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
  • Operational flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs.
  • Willingness to work outside standard established business hours on occasion.

Above all, we value a willingness to learn. So much of what we do at Cogeo involves developing new and innovative solutions to our client’s challenges, we are looking for individuals who have demonstrated a strong ability to learn and develop new skills.

If you lack experience in any of these categories but want to learn, please apply.  Cogeo will provide on-the-job training.

-

Education: High school completion.

-

Experience: No direct experience required. Eagerness to learn a diverse range of skills is the most meaningful skill you can bring to this role.

-
