KNIGHT FOUNDATION: Director/Learning and Impact

You are a leader, passionate about measuring social impact. You enjoy working in partnership with others to develop and steer research and evaluation work, like that which supports Knight Foundation’s learning and impact objectives.

We are social investors who support a more effective democracy by funding free expression and journalism, arts and culture in community, research in areas of media and democracy, and in the success of American cities and towns where the Knight brothers once published newspapers.

The Director of Learning and Impact integrates research and assessment into the foundation’s work, collaboratively leads the foundation to define strategic priorities and assess the impact of our investments. The director commissions original research and supports independent research to gain insight on what informs and engages communities today and in the future.

-         Project management of multiple, concurrent projects;

-         Convey knowledge: compile and summarize qualitative and quantitative data;

-         Collaboration and professionalism: build rapport with stakeholders at all levels;

-         Communication and writing: produce and edit clear, insightful and engaging reports, blog posts and research presentations for a variety of audiences;

-         Commitment to excellence: first step to continuous improvement;

-         Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
