Community Investment Manager

 

As the Community Investment Manager, you will work closely with the Vice President of Community Strategies and Initiatives (VP CSI) in the design and execution of strategies that support the Foundation’s strategic initiatives. You will be expected to support the work of giving circles (100WS, VPs) and manage scholarship committees and grant committees, as well as administer the grant processes, including due diligence, grant agreements, grant tracking, and data entry. You will also manage grant rounds, special project grants, and donor advised grant-making at the Foundation. The Community Investment Manager will be responsible for designing and managing grant-making services to private foundations and corporations.

 

Responsibilities:        

  • Manage and maintain grants including due diligence on recipient organizations, data entry, budget oversight, and communication with funding partners and grantees. (CIM owns this process).
  • Attend community-based meetings representing the Foundation.
  • Support the management of grant rounds, including staffing of committees, coordinating portfolio assignments, and scheduling site visits or meetings with potential grantees.
  • Manage timelines for grant agreements, evaluate grants for compliance and monitor budgets. Define and communicate the measurable outcomes of grants and scholarships. (CIM owns this process).
  • Work on the grant process with all giving circles.
  • Prepare reports and other documents for board of directors and executive committee meetings related to grant-making.
  • Provide necessary information to Marketing and Communications Manager to support efforts to promote grants that are awarded.
  • Develop reports as requested for donor and gift analysis, grant evaluation, and historical information for meeting preparation with grantees.
  • Ensure that grantees are in compliance with Reviewed profiles and help reinforce requirement that grant outcomes are reflected in the profiles.
  • Responsible for design strategy, implementation, and related grant-making for all scholarships. (CIM owns this process).
  • Support all departments across the organization with their initiatives.
  • Provide accounting with on-time reporting and grant/scholarship paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:        

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MS Office experience/skills.
  • Knowledge of CRM software.
