Nonprofit Executive Assistant (Temporary)

The Choice, Inc. is seeking a Nonprofit Executive Assistant for our client- a global education development nonprofit in the Education sector headquartered in Washington, DC. The organization obtains a commitment to elevate education globally to build a stronger foundation for society. As a membership, the organizations mission is to become the global leader for communities of advancement professionals to strategically build progress among all individuals.


This position starts on a temporary basis, but there is potential for temporary to hire, if it’s a good fit.


What we are seeking:


·      Calendar management experience (preferably Microsoft Outlook)

·      Interest in the Education or Global Relations nonprofit sector

·      Based in Washington, DC and able to work on-site five days a week


This role will provide administrative, technical, travel coordination, and problem-solving support to the department of the Executive Leadership Team which includes:


·      Managing meeting arrangements with internal staff, external volunteers, and members

·      Scheduling meetings both virtually and in-person across multiple time zones

·      Tracking follow up tasks

·      Assisting members prioritize their work on strategic initiatives and relationships

·      Coordinating volunteer meetings including site selection, air/hotel travel, and restaurant selection

·      Preparing logistics for visitors

·      Careful coding of invoices for payments

·      Researching current travel requirements

·      Accessing Personify AMS to update CASE member records

·      Demonstrating a high level of customer service when communicating on issues or questions members may have


Additional Qualifications and Skills:

·      Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of combined experience, education and training

·      High degree of confidentiality, organized, responsive, flexible, and comfortable working across varying time zones. Strong written/interpersonal communications skills preferred.

·      Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with database programs such as Personify AMS.


Candidates must be able to commute to Washington, DC office as role is fully on-site. Covid 19 vaccination and booster required. Standard business hours are Monday-Friday, with occasional outside hours depending on scheduling needs.
