The Marketing & Communications Manager leads the College's overall strategic branding campaign to both internal and external audiences, distinguishing Mott Community College in meaningful and measurable ways, and ensuring the consistent usage and integrity of the MCC brand. This position also develops and leads the execution of an annual marketing and communications plan that is fully coordinated and integrated with other areas of the College -- especially all aspects of Academic Affairs, Student Success Services, and Workforce and Economic Development -- to drive increased student enrollment, retention, and completion in both credit and noncredit courses and training opportunities.
Works closely with the Executive Director of Community & College Advancement and President of The Foundation for Mott Community College to develop and execute annual marketing and communications plans for the Foundation.
Under the direction of the Associate Vice President, leads the marketing and communications functions of Mott Community College (MCC), planning and executing a comprehensive, proactive strategy that advances the College's mission and goals by building support for the institution and the College brand, defining target audiences and promoting MCC's major initiatives, programs, services and events. Works with other Institutional Advancement employees to plan and implement marketing strategies that support efforts to reach, engage, and persuade the College's target audiences, which include potential and current students, current and former employees, donors, alumni, government policy makers, the media, business and philanthropic leaders, and the overall community.
Located in southeast Michigan, the serene main campus is on the former grounds of the Charles Stewart Mott Estate and within the beautiful and thriving College/Cultural district. In addition to Cultural District offerings, the central location in a major transportation network make Ann Arbor, Detroit, Chicago and Toronto easily accessible. Those who enjoy boating and the outdoors have the great lakes, inlands lakes, rivers and streams and state and national forests either at their doorstep or within a short drive.
