Position Information: Staff the Graduate Student Success unit with the caliber of career coaching for graduate business students for parity of service and support as provided by all of the other UC graduate business schools, which will positively improve the school's employment outcomes post-graduation, key indices to attract incoming applicants.The full salary range for the Graduate Student Success Career Coach is $61,000 - $106,800 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Utilizing a theoretical understanding of career development, advises students/alumni on a full range of career processes, including individual or group advising/coaching, career planning, setting career goals, decision making, and improving job search competencies. Provides a holistic approach to student/alumni career counseling, modifies workshops and presentations as necessary; OR maintains relationships with potential employers, school admissions representatives, and other organizations to establish contacts to meet the career needs of students. Performs independently, but may receive guidance in developing new career advising/coaching services and Counsels undergraduate and graduate students and alumni on career options and opportunities, including customized services for specific populations.
Department Custom Scope
A. Gary Anderson School of Management at UC Riverside offers an integrated career and academic advising approach. Our Student Success Advisors support one of five accredited MBA or Specialized Masters programs offered by the Graduate Business School. We work with each student to guide their educational coursework to align with their career objective. We seek a successful, experienced professional who will coach students regarding career development and job search strategies related to their educational achievements and work experience. Utilizing a theoretical understanding of career development advises students/alumni on a full range of career processes, including individual or group advising / coaching, career planning, setting career goals, decision-making, and improving job search competencies. Provides a holistic approach to student/alumni career counseling, modifies workshops and presentations as necessary; OR maintains relationships with potential employers, school admissions representatives, and other organizations to establish contacts to meet the career needs of students. Performs independently, but may receive guidance in developing new career advising/coaching services and programs. This position does not offer remote modality, the expectation for this position is on-campus presence. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. The Student Success Career Coach will provide industry experience and expertise in guiding student job search strategies. The full salary range for the Graduate Student Success Career Coach position is $61,000.00 - $106,800.00 annually. We base salary offers on various considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral (based on pregnancy) no later than the applicable deadline. For new University of California employees, the applicable deadline is ten weeks after their first date of employment.
