The Dean of Diversity and Compliance at Hunter College is seeking an Administrative resource to assist with the day to workflow in the office . The role will seek to provide support to the Dean of Diversity and Compliance and be responsible for the following:
• Manage 3 email accounts – AA PROG Dir, Diversit@hunter.cuny.edu, and Title IX for Office of Diversity and Compliance email accounts
• Manage SPARC issues – usually sent to Title IX email- respond accordingly, either distributing to student affairs, ICIT or directly responding to sender
• Manage intake of complaints via email, IR or phone calls
• Return phone calls or emails about how to file a report, questions about Policy or other issues
• Schedule meetings for parties with respect to possible investigations/reports of misconduct
• Email and manage investigative meeting follow-up re documents and evidence
• Forward Work Place Violence complaints to the Committee
• Draft emails/correspondence for Dean Rose
• Take/relay messages for Dean Rose
• Create PowerPoints
• Schedule meetings and mandatory trainings with staff
• Intake of all search emails and issue Reponses
• Schedule timely Search/Recruitment signoffs from Dean
• Maintain Search files and records
• Maintain files on investigations – hard copies as well as electronic in TDrive
• Takes notes during all meetings dealing with investigations
• Compile and Manage complaint log
• Prepare active investigation list and attend weekly review meetings with Student Affairs
• Attend monthly and periodic CUNY Central Office meetings such as T9 and CDO
• Update Diversity and Compliance website , as necessary with new materials, policies and resources
• File/update expense reports
• Check students and employee information and job postings in CUNY First
• Take minutes at meetings conducted by Dean, including WPV. CSA, Racial Equity Task Force, Strategic Planning Committee
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in supporting a senior executive as well as a BA from an accredited school.
In addition, the selected candidate must have:
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent Communication and Organizational skills
• Commitment to confidentiality
• Basic knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
• Effectively interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work independently
This position will work between 20-25 hours a week at an hourly rate of $25.
Benefits begin after 90 days of satisfactory employment.
