Bridges Alternative Peer Group (Bridges) is a nonprofit offering a safe, sober space for teens to recover. We are a youth peer support group for adolescents in recovery from addiction serving the greater Seattle area. Our services are empirically based and effective at providing both immediate and long-term benefits to teens living with addiction. We empower teens to develop their identity as people in recovery. We build a safe community to support families and teens, allowing them to reimagine what’s possible for their lives.

Founded in 2020, Bridges has achieved impressive success with an annual budget of $450,000, three dedicated staff members, a talented working board, and committed donors. It has supported over 100 families, with an excellent success rate in maintaining long-term sobriety among participants. As demand for services grows, Bridges seeks a dynamic leader to take the organization to the next level as its new Executive Director.

    Key Responsibilities:

      • Strategic Planning & Implementation: Inform and execute a strategy for scaling programs while maintaining our unique impact.
      • Program Development: Enhance program clarity, structure, and effectiveness in response to participants' needs.
      • Leadership & Mentorship: Foster strong relationships with staff, board, and community, building a culture of trust and empowering others to succeed.
      • Fundraising: Create and implement a comprehensive development plan, diversifying funding sources and strengthening donor relationships.
      • Capacity Building: Streamline administrative systems, increase the number of graduates, and prepare them for post-graduation life.

    What We're Looking For:

      • Proven success leading and growing a nonprofit or significant department with a $500K+ budget and 3+ staff.
      • Broad understanding of nonprofit management, including fundraising, budgeting, strategic planning, and operations.
      • Strong communication skills, inspiring and engaging diverse audiences.
      • Deep understanding of addiction recovery, supporting youth, staff, and parents effectively.
      • Experience in end-to-end program development.
      • Highly organized with excellent prioritization and follow-through.
      • Proficient in MS Office suite, social media, and relational databases.
