Who we are:

St. Christopher’s Inn (SCI) is an 820 residential rehabilitation facility, dedicated to the rehabilitation of men (known as Brother’s Christopher) in crisis. It is an Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) licensed facility with CARF substance abuse program accreditation. SCI is a Catholic, Franciscan mission accepting men of any race, creed, or way of life and emphasizing the dignity of person and concern for the poor. It is expected that the ED will promote those values in all interactions with the Brother’s Christopher, the staff and the public, and represent the Society of the Atonement in a manner befitting a ministry of the Catholic Church.

The Opportunity:

We present an immediate opportunity for a proven Executive Director who brings a high level of organization and team building skills, compliance with OASAS, Medicaid, New York State Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services rules, as well as Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and a desire to support, inspire trust and develop an engaged workforce. The Inn emphasizes Catholic values, including the dignity of person and concern for the poor. Knowledge of substance abuse disorder treatment, dual diagnosis and trauma best practices, as well as clinical diagnoses and interventions are required. An ability to manage client census through bed management and to generate and use data for quality improvement initiatives is also required. This position requires true executive experience in administrative and staff management, budget preparation, long-term planning, board development, programmatic excellence, senior management recruitment, and mission effectiveness with evidence of successes in each of these areas.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• 7+ years of progressive executive management experience in agency or private sector health and human services, in particular, addiction recovery, with a working knowledge of religious or faith-based client-based services preferred.
• Extensive experience with board development, fiscal, administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with 820/822 State regulations, OASAS, Managed Care, Electronic Health Records, DOH, SUD Program management and commercial payors.
