Township Patterns

 

Township Patterns has been supporting women entrepreneurship in township communities in Cape Town since 1997. Today, a growing network of six autonomous cooperatives is employing close to 60 women and is producing a wide range of fair trade bags for the retail and MICE industry.

 

Township Offering

 

As part of our mission statement we work with independent women-owned cooperatives in the townships of Cape Town to produce Proudly South African bags depending on the clients’ specifications and needs. Township Patterns engages with clients worldwide and secures regular orders for the cooperatives to ensure sustainable growth and development in these cooperatives. We offer from shopping to corporate and incentive or conference bags, all bags can be branded using quality digital / screen printing or embroidery.

Township Environmental responsibility

Township Patterns is committed to environmental protection and responsibility as such; we produce eco-friendly, reusable, durable and trendy alternatives to plastic bags made out of our natural fabrics. Our bags are made of 100% natural cotton or jute cotton fabrics. Township Patterns collaterals are printed on Forest Stewardship Council FSC certified paper.

Our Clients

Our bags are being chosen primarily by many PCOs, Corporations, associations and public sector institutions across Africa and Europe.

Our clients are at liberty to choose any bag design and where they want their logo to be placed.

With an established office in South Africa, a logistics hub in Europe and sea-freight, small to large customer orders can be delivered worldwide in a short period of time.

Township Patterns is member of; World Fair Trade Organization WFTO, South African Association of the Conference Industry SACCI and International Congress Convention Association ICCA.
